BIG brother Jon was in Ellensburg fishing with friends when his little sister was born. We called him right after she was born. Another little sister for Jon. Hummm wonder if she will call him "brother' too? :) The next day Jon was able to meet EmmaLee. Everyone who knows me, knows this was quite a moment for me. EmmaLee is lucky to have a big bro like Jonathan.

EmmaLee Jayne's Arrival

It all started late Friday night. I was having contractions but they weren't consistant enough to worry about anything. I fell asleep and they went away. I was pretty bummed when I woke up and NOTHING had happened. So on

Saturday Art and and ran some errands went to lunch, came home and took a LONG walk with the dogs. Hoping that would get things started. Well....... Later that evening we were over at My sisters house and decided to make a Castroil/gatorade slushy. I was thinking by that time, what the heck. Just a wives tale right? Art and I get home around eleven o'clock. Nothing has or is happening. Art goes to bed and I stay up watching TV. At midnight I started cramping. I got the stop watch and thought, ok, i'll time these and see what happens. Sure enough they began at 12 minutes apart and in an hour they were 4 minutes apart. I called pam and Art came downstairs and we decided to go on in to the hospital after talking with my midwife.

Knowing it was going to take us 40 minutes to get to the hospital we hurried and left. pam followed in her car. By this time it was about one thirty am and about a block away from the hospital and my water broke! And it was on! My contractions were super intense and arriving into the ER we thought I was going to have to deliver there. I was put on a bed and all. Well, thank God I was "only" dialated to a four and was whisked away up to labor and delivery. My Aunt Deed and uncle Dave picked up Carrie and came to the hospital. Carrie and Aunt Deed, Pam and Art all stayed with me and we listened to the BeeGees. LOL. Kay my midwife was in the room the whole time too. She was AWESOME! She even rubbed my feet! : ) Art was amazing and kept me cool by keeping the wash cloths nice and cool on my forhead and neck. After pushing for an hour EmmaLee Jayne arrived at five am on the dot. What a beautiful baby girl!!
